(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home1/ozarktr1/public_html/staging/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6121We are returning to Winona to continue storm damage clean up of the Eleven Point and Between the River sections of the OT beginning this Monday, June 7- Saturday, June 13.\u00a0 Sawyers are needed along with volunteers to assist with swamping.\u00a0 The work to be done is not easy and will also include lopping, brushing and swamping for the sawyers.\u00a0 We will also be watching the weather for higher temperatures and humidity and the safety of our volunteers.\u00a0 Volunteers can sign up for multiple days and please include in the comments what days you will be available to make planning easier.<\/p>\n
Based out of the USFS Winona facility, there is camping available in the yard, and very limited beds in the house (first come, first served).\u00a0 Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 procedures, food will not be able to be provided by OTA for volunteers. There are available markets to purchase food it needed.\u00a0 The facilities will include a kitchen, where individuals can cook their own food, and refrigerators.\u00a0 Volunteers need to bring a backpack to carry food and water along with other items while on the trail.\u00a0 Also any camping equipment, personal care items and food for days you are attending.<\/p>\n
Covid-19 procedures will be followed, including sanitizing, wearing masks, and social distancing while together. OTA USFS certified sawyers needing equipment, please email Terry Hawn at thawn@prodigy.net. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Terry or Kathie (kathie.brennan@staging.ozarktrail.com).
