Volunteer Off-Trail

Did you know there are many ways to support the OTA’s mission? We have a dedicated group of volunteers that help run the OTA. The OTA is like many businesses with a Board of Directors, officers and committee chairs and members that make things happen for you. For every fundraising event, trail build and maintenance event, there is a lot of work that happens “behind the scenes”.

In addition to planning and organizing events, volunteers maintain our website and social media. Besides membership dues, we also raise other funds from corporate and foundation sponsors. As you know, the trail is not yet complete. There are several gaps that we are working to fill. We have a team of dedicated volunteers working to plan and design the next sections of the trail, and work with landowners and other partners to obtain the rights to construct new trail.
