I plan to work and hike off and on all week camping at the USFS facility.
The first hike is from Big Spring campground on the Big spring trail to the highway 60 trailhead and other sections depending on the portions to be maintained.

I can meet up with the crew on those sections under maintenance. Could someone ferry me back to my truck at wherever? I could plan my work days and hike days in advance if I knew what sections are to be worked on.
I would much appreciate it!

Is WIFI available at the Winona USFS facility?

I plan to hike the OT from the highway J trailhead to Sutton Bluff and camp at Sutton Bluff Friday.
Could someone ferry me back to my truck at the highway J trailhead Friday afternoon?
I would much appreciate it!
How is cell coverage in the area? Has anyone had any luck with 35 mile range 2 way radios or 4 watt CB radios in the area?

is maintenance required north or south or both on the OT from the DD/32 trailhead ?
I am planning to hike the Council Bluff Lake trail either Friday or Sunday and a short portion of the OT depending on the portions to be maintained.

Also, I went to Udall last week and no one was there and I received no cancellation email or text msg. How do you guys advise when the event is canceled?

Unfortunately, rain has now become allmost certain Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. With all of the moisture in the ground allready, it is simply going to be too wet to work, not to mention camping and travel.

Weather has not been our friend so far this year. I am reluctantly going cancel the build this weekend and we will hopefully get better weather for the April 3 weekend. We’ll look to make this weekend up later in April or May.

I haven’t seen this event canceled yet, nor have I seen further details yet. I assume you’re waiting til the last minute to see what the second wave of weather brings today, Wednesday.
I’m game! Don’t know how many you have registered, but would it be possible for me to have my own room given my age and the fact that I have not been able to get my first Covid vaccine yet?

NO, you do NOT have to be a member to sit in on the Board Meeting. It is open to all (well, all that can do Zoom 🙂 ).
